Free Download

So, a friend asked if I would mind showing him a model I made a while back, and talk to him about some of the process involved in creating the model and textures.  I uploaded it for him, and figured, why not share it.  It is by no means perfect, but it was fun to make when I made it a while ago.

If you're a Maya user, there is a Maya 2009 .ma file that "should" see all the textures.  Otherwise, you'll have to load the obj file in to your viewer of choice and hook up the textures yourself.  There's also a PSD showing the texture layers I used and a couple of making-of time-lapse movies.

If you want to download it, go here:

Well, that just caused Xmas to come extra early! Thanks Danny, you are a generous man, and always have been, I think.

Thanks everyone! Sean, thanks so much. There are so many game artists out there I admire that could do this thing with their eyes closed, but for me it was a struggle/leaning experience. Certainly there are things about it I would change today, but it was really fun to make, even with the mistakes. Thanks for the kind words man!
